“Fear it, do it, face it. Learn to live a meaningful life and create balance.”

Still apprehensive, I also felt a mix of excitement and fear. On top of that, I worried about being too young and inexperienced to make a valuable contribution to the program. Meeting new people caused me some anxiety as well.

Looking back, I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity. My initial interest in Climate Gen stemmed from a desire to gain more experience by meeting new and talented people. Additionally, I hoped to overcome my fear of public speaking.

Joining Climate Gen helped me grow in several ways. First of all, it helped me step out of my comfort zone to meet new people, which I think was the most important step for me. Secondly, I learned the importance of communication and leadership skills within a team. Finally, Climate Gen helped me build a network. I met many new professionals from different fields, backgrounds, and countries, which I believe will be very helpful as I navigate my future career path.

During this program, I honed my communication skills to effectively connect with my team and gained a deeper understanding of the work of climate change mitigation. On the professional side, I improved my ability to work as part of a team, built strong connections with both team members and the core leadership, and even acquired some new technical skills.
